With the objective of making Divyang individuals self-reliant and facilitating their mobility, a special diagnosis and assessment camp was organized at Bhaskar Bhavan, managed by the National Association for the Blind Sabarkantha.

Special Assessment Camp for Divyang Beneficiaries

The camp was organized specifically for orthopedic Divyang beneficiaries seeking assistance under welfare schemes for electric tricycles and joystick wheelchairs.

The initiative aimed to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive appropriate mobility assistance, thereby helping them become more independent and enabling easier movement in their daily lives.

Joint Initiative for Divyang Welfare

The important camp was jointly organized by the District Social Security Office, Himmatnagar and the National Association for the Blind, Sabarkantha.

Through this collaborative initiative, special attention was given to ensuring that genuine and needy Divyang beneficiaries could receive the full benefits available under the government welfare scheme.

Key Activities of the Assessment Camp

  • Physical assessment of orthopedic Divyang beneficiaries.
  • Medical verification by a team of expert doctors.
  • Verification for eligibility of electric tricycles.
  • Assessment for joystick wheelchair assistance.
  • Guidance and support for Divyang beneficiaries attending the camp.
  • Digital verification through video calls for beneficiaries unable to attend physically.

Medical Examination and Verification

During the camp, a team of expert medical doctors conducted thorough physical examinations and medical verification of the Divyang beneficiaries present.

The verification process was undertaken carefully to ensure that genuine and needy beneficiaries receive the benefits of the welfare scheme according to their requirements.

Participation from Across Sabarkantha

A large number of Divyang friends from different areas across the Sabarkantha district remained present and participated in the camp to avail themselves of the services being provided.

The enthusiastic participation demonstrated the importance of organizing accessible assessment and welfare programs locally for Divyang individuals and their families.

Distinguished Presence

On this occasion, District Social Security Officer Mr. Manishbhai Joshi , organization Vice President Ms. Pravinaben Mehta and General Secretary Mr. Sandip K. Rami were specially present.

They guided the overall arrangements and ensured that the camp was conducted efficiently and that beneficiaries received the necessary assistance throughout the assessment process.

Special Arrangements for Beneficiaries

Special efforts were made by the office bearers and organizers to ensure that all Divyang friends attending the camp did not face any inconvenience.

Volunteers and staff members remained available to guide beneficiaries and assist them during registration, medical examination and verification.

Digital Verification Through Video Calls

Modern technology was used to ensure that beneficiaries unable to remain physically present at the camp were not deprived of the benefits available to them.

Notably, due to heavy traffic on roads on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, some beneficiaries were unable to attend the camp personally.

To ensure that such beneficiaries were not deprived of the welfare scheme, digital verification through video calls was implemented as a unique and humane initiative.

The use of modern technology to complete the necessary verification process was appreciated by the beneficiaries and everyone present at the event.
